blogging

Enter your blog post here…As for as blogging is concerned I think that it is a great tool for some and a wonderful place to express oneself for others. I have to admit that I personally never really got in to it.  Maybe its like so many other things in life that you’d love to spend more time doing but now is just not the time. That and the fact that for me it feels strange knowing that anyone can read it. It could be that I need don’t feel like I have much to say that would be that interesting for other people to read. I not sure what is is. I’d really love to do some scrapbooking too but this type of activity also requires a certain amount of time, energy and creativity. I don’t know maybe some day I will again. I am glad that I learned about the process though cuz you never know.

Frustration

Enter your blog post here…I just finished my blog but something happened and it didn’t publish and now I don’t have enough time to write the same thing allover again. Perhaps this is just as well so I can write about my frustration concerning my low computer literacy. Just when I think I’m catching on I realize that I’ve got so far to go. This is not fun to deal with.

Senses

Enter your blog post here…Assignment: Senses. hmmm… Well this might be an interesting assignment as this could mean different things to different people. Senses as in taste, touch, smell, hear and vision?  In this case there is alot to write about. (I’m so thankful for these!) There are other senses as well such as non sense, common sense or perhaps a sixth sense. These could also make for some interesting blogs. Guess I’ll have to wait until Thursday.

Dialogue

Enter your blog post here…Dialogue: Teen girls.

Oh my gosh did you here what those girls were talking about in english tody?

What girls?

You know "those" girls

Oh ya, I did a little but I normally don’t pay that much attention.

Well you should have today. I’m mean it’s not like I’d hang out with them or anything, but I like talking to them sometimes. it’s like thier in a completely different world or something. I think it’s hilarious.

What do you mean?

Cuz, all they do is talk about thier sex lives all hour.

Wow. My mom says that I can’t have a "boyfriend" until I’m seventeen.

hahahahaha Ya well mine says that I can start dating after I’m married!

Ya, they worry too much.

Well even if I wanted to I’d never have the time. I’m in way too many activities.

Maybe they do that cuz they don’t have anything else to do.

ya maybe

Writers Block

Enter your blog post here…It’s not a good thing to suffer a writers block while taking a creative writing class.  Try as I might nothing seems to come.  So, I thought since this is the case I might as well write about it.  I guess I just don’t feel so creative lately or maybe its just that I have too many other things on my mind I’m not sure.  If anyone has some good advice or know the cure for this,  Please let me know! I would be so grateful.

Itchy feet

Enter your blog post here…  I found an interesting poem about Itchy Feet so I thought that this might be the perfect time and place to share it.  Hope you enjoy it!

Itchy feet

Though it’s well off the beaten track
The ruins of a house provide
Some shelter to wanderers who lack
a fixed abode where they abide.

Some tramps are educated men
who’ve opted out of the rat race
Yet others can’t go home again
because they left in black disgrace.

And some their inner demons drive
to keep on moving constantly
The travel but do not arrive
just keep on moving endlessly.

Their goal they can’t identify.
They meet and greet occasionally
but keep a wary weather eye.
True friendship is in short supply.

Each man a complete mystery.
They all obey the traveller’s code
You do not ask their history.
The reasons why they’re on the road.

They’re free to go and free to come
Some choose to stay a day or two.
The ruin bids them all welcome
as any haven ought to do.

Though it’s well off the beaten track
It’s widely known to travellers.
For some of them keep coming back
to the sparse comfort it offers.

So when the winter storms draw near.
Stray wanderers start to arrive,
they will wait out the winter here
and do their best to stay alive.

When spring returns their wanderlust
will set them travelling again.
They will not stay but go they must
this hopeless breed of homeless men.

The Inkwell

Enter your blog post here…Submissions are due tomorrow for the Inkwell tomorrow and I hope that everyone in class chooses at least one if not more pieces to submit.  I was talking to my cousin Dinah and she said that she was thinking about submitting a painting. I wasn’t paying attention because I thought that this was for writers only, so I guess clueless suits me well.  I was also thinking about how we could get more people involved in this and I thought of Kit Brennen the principals management instructor.  I took this class last semester and I thinking that maybe her class may be able to help out.  You know think up some kind of marketing stradegy in order to get the word out and get more students and locals excited about this project. It really is such a great opportunity for locals to have thier works published and I want it to thrive.  Kit really is all about the students and Jen is too and so I was just thinking that it would be a great opportunity to work together and see what could happen with this club.  If anyone actually reads this please submit something.  I was told that it looks really good on a transcript and I would imagine a resume as well! Have a great spring break!!

One of my favorite memories

Enter your blog post here…  This is a memory that I hold dear to my heart just thinking of it makes my heart melt all over again.  It is the day I brought my youngest daughter home from the hospital.  Since she was born early she had been kept the special care nursary of Abbot NW hospital a little longer than usual.  She was healthy but there are always concerns about preemies.  I wasn’t expecting to be able to take her home just a week after she was born but earlier the docter had pronounced her to be "perfect" music to my ears.  My mother went with me to get her while Brent stayed stayed home to be with Lily (who had just turned two three days earlier) and Dane who was 8 going on 9 at the time.  Dane would have to wait until after school to meet his new baby sister but Lily was sooo excited!  We opened the door and comes running just as fast as she can she couldn’t wait to meet her. Not yet poddy trained but wow she had a great grasp on langauge. I put the car seat down so she could have a peak.  Through giggles she exclaimed "oh, mommy mommy it’s a real one!  It’s a real one baby doll mommy!"  (like any toddler she had lots of dolls)  She squats down puts her sweet little toddler hand on her sister’s head and proceeds to sing to her the whole Jesus loves me song!  No prompting no encouragment this came from her own heart which is why it melts mine.  So sweet, so beautiful, so innocent, so perfect.  I couln’t imagine a better homecoming for her baby sister than that!
